As far as my memory can go, I have always been drawing. Art is, to me, a natural path and way to connect to the world, an insatiable quest. I kept following this quest wherever my Life took me – growing up in the North of France, up till now, living in London, after several years traveling between Europe and Asia – there is always the eagerness to ‘do’ and obey the sparkling need to create.
My artworks alternate figuration and abstraction : I use my work to share a bit of the emotions I feel or describe the places where my dreams take me to, giving a sense to things through lines and colors – aiming to render a bit of the poetry and beauty I see in what surrounds me.
I work using several mediums (drawing, oil painting…) but have a strong appetite for Pastel, for the richness of its colors, its delicacy, and variety of touches it allows.
I am mainly self taught – building my craft on personal observation and long sessions in Paris and London museums. I have also trained in different extra-curricular programs – practicing life drawing in Beaux Arts in Paris and in the Académie de la Grande Chaumière as well as several terms of Portraiture classes at the Heatherley School of Fine Art.
